West Valley Christian Alliance Church began as a Chinese heritage church in 2002. We are currently on a journey in transitioning our church from a Chinese heritage church to a multiethnic church.
We are part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance, a Christ-centered global movement, with over 6 million members worldwide. In the US alone, more than 500,000 believers attend worship services in 37 different languages at more than 2,000 Alliance churches. The US Alliance is divided into 28 districts, and our church is part of the Central Pacific District.
Our Vision:
Our vision is to restore identity through Jesus for the sake of the world
From the beginning to end of Scripture, we clearly see God’s redemptive plans in bringing restoration to the world. The world was broken when Adam and Eve rebelled in disobedience to God’s commands. God gave a prophetic promise of restoration before He expelled Adam and Eve from the Garden. He promised a Messiah (Genesis 3:16) and He promised that he would cover our brokenness (Genesis 3:21).
This promise was reaffirmed in Isaiah 61:10, when Isaiah prophesied about the Messiah that would come to clothe humanity with salvation and righteousness. The promise was once again reaffirmed with the prophetic vision of the Apostle John in Revelation 7:9-10, where people “from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes…”
In order for God’s prophetic promise to be fulfilled He sent Jesus into the world. The mission of Jesus was to bring restoration (Luke 4:18-19). Jesus commissioned all of His followers to bring the restoration (Matthew 10:7-8). This restoration is a restoration of identity. We are sons and daughters of God. We are part of God’s family. A restored identity gives a restored and renewed purpose in life.
Our Mission:
Our mission is to be a Holy Spirit filled multiracial, and multigenerational community restoring identity through Jesus for the sake of the world
Holy Spirit Filled: Our mission is to embrace all the giftings of the Holy Spirit without agenda. We long to be a community that is transformed by the Holy Spirit, empowered by the Holy Spirit and led by the Holy Spirit.
Multiracial –
Our mission is to transition from a Chinese heritage church to a multiracial church; from a mono-race to a multi-race church.
Multigenerational –
Our mission is to be a church that reflects a multigenerational community.

To guide us in fulfilling and accomplishing our vision and mission: Mend, Missional, Multiplication, and Mosaic
Mend
The restoration of identity requires a deep dive into the soul. The church needs to be a place where broken people can find restoration. Jesus commanded the disciples to bring healing (Luke 10:9).
The healing that Jesus commanded us is to heal a person physically, emotionally and spiritually (Luke 4:18-19). A restored identity is a life that experiences the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. A restored identity renews our sense of divine purpose. We no longer live for ourselves; we live for Jesus.
Missional
The word missional means that God is a sending God, a missionary God, who has called His people, the church, to be missionary agents of His love and glory (2 Corinthians 5:14-21).
In order for a church to be missional, the church needs to be intentional and incarnational. Intentional requires a missional life rhythm. Incarnational requires us to be present with people. It requires for our lives to intertwine with the lives of others. Missional life rhythms center around the truth that God is at work reconciling the world to himself and our task is to respond to what God is doing.
Multiplication
Discipleship is at the heart of Jesus’ command to His disciples. We make the distinction between a believer and a disciple today. We believe that disciples are more serious about the faith and a believer is your everyday Christian. But nowhere in the Bible does it make a distinction between a believer and a disciple.
A disciple will always multiply themselves (2 Timothy 2:2). The church will embody a culture of imparting and empowering people to their full potential for God’s kingdom. Leadership development is essential for a healthy church. Our goal as a church is to develop disciples and leaders.
Mosaic
The word mosaic means a decoration made by inlaying small pieces of various colors and sizes to form a big picture. The church of God is mosaic. When we gather as God’s people in heaven will be a gathering of people from every nation, tribe and tongue. Our church will be a reflection of the mosaic nature of God’s kingdom.
We will reflect this mosaic nature of God’s kingdom by being a church that is diverse in race, ethnic, generation and gender. The mosaic nature will be reflected in our leadership, our giftings, and our expressions of worship. In order for our church to be a mosaic expression of God’s kingdom, there is only one vision, one mission and one DNA but multiple expressions.
The keys to a mosaic expression are unity, humility and collaboration.
